THE BOSSHOSS: ROCKIN’ A NEW DECADE !

The BossHoss are a band apart that have long since established themselves as one of the most
innovative and compelling live acts in the European live music-landscape. The guys are currently
taking the German charts by storm with their latest album ‘Liberty Of Action‘ which entered the
charts at no. 4 and has remained high at the peak of charts throughout the last few months. The
band are also riding a huge tidal wave of success due to their immense popularity as coaches in the
blockbusting television talent show ‘The Voice Of Germany‘ (TVOG) -the show is enjoying the highest
national viewing figures, running to audiences of over 5 million twice weekly!

In their sweat drenched whirlwind performances The BossHoss seem as much at home on the huge
stages of festivals such as Download, Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, Wacken, Azkena Rock or Novarock,
as they do in the intimate context of small jazz and indie clubs like King Tut’s, Glasgow,
Dingwalls, London, the legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto, or the Continental Club, Austin
Texas…

The seven piece band have in the previous seven years performed innumerous live shows and have
certainly left their mark…With a surprising crossover of country, punkrock, blues, 60ies garage and
rockabilly, they have perfected their own unique brand of rock n roll. The music itself might remind
you of an after-hours encounter between Johnny Cash and Elvis. Even Rammstein couldn’t resist
asking The BossHoss to record a remix for the B-side of their latest single ‘Mein Land‘, which
translates tongue-in-cheek in our urban cowboy drawl as ‘My Country‘.

True to tradition, rock’n’roll and showbusiness still seem to have their own way of writing the best
plots: seven cowboys + seven years of rock n roll= seven gold- and platinum awards.
After a brief creative break the band recently concluded a small but critically highly acclaimed tour
of Texas and have drawn new inspiration from the home of their legendary musical influences. No
surprise that The BossHoss came back with the exciting, butt-kicking and most instinctive album of
their modern outlaw- career!

The album ‘Liberty Of Action‘ has been leading up to the forthcoming ‘Liberty Tour 2012‘ in March,
within 10 days the band will be playing to an expected audience of over 50.000 in Germany, Austria
and Switzerland. All are eagerly awaiting the return of the magnificent seven, so you too:

The Bosshoss Biography

The BossHoss is a band from Berlin which started in 2004 with Country & Western style cover versions of famous pop, rock and hip hop songs, for example "Hot in Herre" by Nelly, "Toxic" by Britney Spears and "Hey Ya!" by Outkast. They incorporate stereotypical American cowboy behavior into their act. They wear stetson hats, tank tops, large sunglasses, display whiskey bottles, and yell yeehaw. The band refers to their music style as "Country Trash Punk Rock."
